Mulder's coat

Mulder got a new coat today.  He is very excited.

We had race day today and he had to go to the race in Sculley's coat, which is not as warm.  Luke said he was freezing the entire time.

His coat from last year was
thrown away.  It survived many days of wear and lots of Mulder love.
I had to improvise because the pattern I modified last year to fit him did not fit after I cut it out.  So, I didn't have enough material.  Last years coat is a lot prettier, but I think this one will work.  It is not as thick as as year, so I will probably have to make him another one for the super cold.

This thing with Mulder, is that he has very little hair.  He is always cold.  He has blankets all over the house and one on our bed.  I feel very fortunate that we adopted Mulder.  If he would have went to another family that didn't care about his inability to keep warm, he wou
ld have a miserable life, or a family that didn't know how to sew.  (He is too big for store bought sweaters, and he need sleeves.)

Sculley actually became really jealous today about Mulder's sweater.  I think it is because Mulder had to have several fitting and I didn't fit Sculley.  Plus Luke and I both got new jackets tonight too.   She is not a very jealous type, so this is weird.  I decided to make the cut out that was too small for Sculley this week.  So, I gave her a fitting and took some pictures of her with her sweater on and she started to perk up.  She doesn't even like to wear sweaters.  (Probably because I made her wear clothes when she was a puppy and so incredibly sick.)

Everything is right and good again in this house...
