Tonight we went to Gopurm (?) Taste of India and it was BOMB! Seriously! Every year at the Arts Festival I say that I am going to start going there, but then I forget. Taste of India was at the Girlie show last night, and was so good! So tonight Luke decided we should try it out.
It was everything I had imagined and more.
I guess they only have a buffet, which normally I am against, but it was so good. And it enabled me to try everything. Here are some things I discovered about Indian food:
- Tikka Chicken Marsala is the best thing ever!
- I hate goat. (This could be a problem since I am preparing to be a whole different type of world traveler... I'll just be a vegetarian on goat night.)
- Carrot pudding is REALLY good!
- They eat a lot of fried dough.
- Luke likes goat :-
- Mango custard is apparently the best thing ever, but I am allegedly allergic to mango so I will trust Luke.
It was pretty inexpensive too! $31 for two beers and two buffets.. The beers were almost as much as the food.
This made me ponder that maybe food is only expensive on N. May Ave? Maybe if we started eating further south, we could get twice as much for 1/3 the price....
