Waiting List to Wait More...

So we are finally on the waiting list to wait for a referral of a baby to wait for the baby's visa and other paper work to go through so we can wait to go to Korea to pick up our baby.  I don't really have a good idea of how long we will wait to wait to wait, but I do know that other people have gotten a referral in 6 months but we have been quoted 12 months. I think we will just plan on that.

After that, we have to wait for all the necessary paperwork to be completed in both Korea and the US.  And then we wait for the call that we can travel.  This has been taking anywhere from 3 to 6 months.  All of this can change, which means will have no idea how long we will be waiting.

We just have to wait for the right baby to be born to the right person in the right time when we are the right people on the list.

As you can see there are a lot of variables in this equation (but no I don't do quadric equations).

Basically, we are just waiting.

Things I will work on while waiting to wait:
  • Getting enough sky miles to fly first class.
  • Finishing all the things around the house that I have been meaning to do since we moved in 1 1/2 ago.
  • Being able to function on less sleep.
  • Saving money.
  • Planting the perfect garden, that looks like a bunch of seeds fell in no particular order.
  • Training my dogs to keep "4 on the floor".
  • Being able to carry 25 lbs around (the likely weight of a 10 month old according to others).
  • Learning enough Korean to communicate when we are there (not going well so far, especially since I don't know very much Spanish and I have taken years of lessons, lived in PR , visit Spanish speaking counties many times per year and live in a state where 1/3 of the people speak Spanish).
  • Only having one job.
However, I'm sure we will just "wing" it like everything else we do....
