Due to Foxie Lou's increasing illness we have decided as a family to let her go. It is a very sad day in OKC as Foxie Lou has touched many lives in her 17 years. My family adopted her when I was in 8th grade. She picked me up from school every day until I could drive, and then she waited for me in the upstairs window for me to come home.

She lived with me in college and ran 5 miles a day with me and went to numerous parties, barking and biting everyone she saw fit. She loved to snuggle under my shirt and ride in cars, perilously sticking her head out the window (she only weighs 4lbs). She has been banned from many a groomer and loved by most everyone she meets.

She made the dog lover that I am and has brought so much joy and love into my life. Foxie has never been afraid of a challenge or deterred by her small size. I am extremely sad, but now that she is so old and unable to accomplish even day to day tasks; I know that reliving her pain is the best thing for her.
For those of you who have never been close to an animal, my extreme loss might be difficult for you to understand, but those who have known the unconditional love of a furry warm little creature and the joy and happiness that they bring will understand how emotional, horrible and heart breaking these times can be.
Please pry for my family and for sweet little Foxie Lou.

Oh how sad!!!! But at least she had a good 17 years!
Amber, I'm thinking of you. It is sad to lose a pet. I don't know what I'm going to do when my oldest boxer needs to go down.

So sorry Amber. I have been lucky enough to have more than one such animal so close to my heart. It is so sad but it is the right thing to do. May you remember all the fun times you and Foxie Lou had!
