First week home

We have been home for almost a week. He is a little sugar. We are calling him our mandu (Korean dumpling). He spends most of his time in his high chair or somewhere eating. This kid eats constantly and is ALWAYS hungry. He eats everything.

We have been having some, umm "sleeping problems", meaning Luke and Amber get no sleep. Ike sleeps. He sleeps all day and screams all night while he is asleep. One issue, besides the 15 hour time difference and his constant hunger, is he tosses and turns and has horrible nightmares while he sleeps. He wants to constantly be held and have us walk up and down the hallways all night. We realized today that this habit is not sustainable for us. We are not getting any sleep which is in turn is cracking us up, and not in a funny way.

So tonight, after consultation from our social worker we went through a routine that we are starting and put him in his crib.
Believe it or not he went to sleep. For a second, I thought he might not be breathing because he was not screaming like he was being injured, but low and behold he was asleep. We will see how this plays out tonight. I am so nervous. The hard times are from 2-4:30 or so. We will see.

Ike has had a lot of visitors. I know this is bad, but his people want to see him. We have mainly been having grandparents, but we have also been visited by Ike's friends, C and the
triplets.

He loves people and loves to be out and about. Especially, he loves to go out to eat. He also likes to shop. He is very much like us. And just to brag, the doctor asked if we were 'sure about his birth date' because he is so advanced. He hammed it up for the doctor. High-fives, repeating words, laughing, calling us mommy and dadda. Really amazing. I can't believe all the words he has already picked up and how well he is taking everything in.

We love him. He is perfect.
