Ike's First American Hair Cut

Today Ike had a big day. We started off going to Gymboree. (I do realize this goes against our 'staying at home thing') Ike loves people and meeting new friends.

Going to Gymboree was pretty funny for us, because we made fun of it for a really long time. I always thought it was dumb to pay money to play with your own baby. But after having a child, I realize that Mommies and Daddies need something to do all day long.

Any who, he loved Gymboree. He met lots of new babies. All of the other children were walking and we could tell Ike was not happy about being the only crawler. He practiced his steps all day long and he took about 3-4 steps alone. WOW. He also learned to wave 'hello' and 'bye' by watching the other kids, even though we have been working on it since he has been home, a whopping week and a half.

After Gymboree we went and showed him off to my office and ate and then went to Salon W for a hair cut. Our friend, Chad, cut his hair. He looks terrific! You can't really tell by these pictures, but the new hair makes him look at least 2 months older :). We mainly just trimmed his bangs and gave him a cut.

After all this we came home and had some visitors. He was excited to meet his buddy Sebastian and my friends, Jamie and
Blair.

Poor Ike is teething, which is causing him some pain and discomfort. He is also still refusing to take naps unless we are driving. Luke and I have taken several tours of Oklahoma City in the last few days. I really think he is just scared he is going to miss out on something. He's our little one :).
