Today blows (1) that I found out that our Korean agency has not filed for Ike's emigration permission and thus it is going to be "God only knows when" before they are able to do so. I did find out yesterday that Ike's visa paper work is on its way to the embassy in Seoul so hopefully since that will be there they will file his emigration permission??? I guess it's not a big deal because he is in a loving home? I'm still upset :(
(2) today blows because I found out that one of my contracting positions has cut me because of budget short falls. I had suspected this, so I am not surprised. It will give me more time with Ike, if he ever gets here.
Tomorrow my friends are having a sweet party for us for Ike. They have been working really hard and I think we have a lot of people coming to support us. I do love a good party. I bought a party dress for the occasion. I hope to be feeling better about the Ike situation by then.
Yesterday I was super pumped about our visa paperwork being on a plane to Seoul. Now I'm just hoping it will help him get home faster. This would be a situation where is would in fact be appropriate to use the phrase "In God's time" or "God has a plan".
I am a believer in both of those. I think they are over used and used when it is more appropriate to say "Whenever I feel like it" or "I haven't gotten to it yet". "God" is thrown around a lot in adoption because it is a chance and a risk and a complete "jump of faith". But there are somethings that just require a stamp.
I do believe God is giving me our child just like the miracle of birth, but I sure do wish he would hurry up! :)
I feel like going to by a ridiculously expensive bag would make me feel better. Isn't that what everyone does when they lose a source of income??
