Well we love the Big Texan... The place where if you eat the 72 oz steak you get it for free. Luke will never attempt this. My friend who lives here in Amarillo says that it is mainly skinny little girls who are able to complete the task. I think she is lying to try and get me to take the challenge. So we drive up to meet here her and see these Australian girls walk out of the hotel. (We knew because clearly Australians look differently than Americans??). We asked them how the hotel was and they said it was clean and comfortable and full of cut out cowboys. Good enough for us.
Our room Is big and comfortable. Not at all like a Red Roof Inn.
They even leave mints on your pillow.
Did I mention it was "The Honeymoon Suite"? Imagine the possibilities???? Tomorrow we head off to New Mexico for our little adventure. We decided we had to get away for a bit. Day on down in the books. Check it as good!

I will say my MIL is 5ft tall and maybe 100lbs and she could take down that steak, no problem...so maybe your friend is right.
Wow! We always stop and eat at the Big Texan when we pass thru Amarillo, but we've never seen their hotel rooms (and we've never ordered the giant steak.) I think they make you eat the salad, side, and dessert, too!
