4 months of waiting for Ike

imgres.jpg

4 months isn't bad. I thought it might be 4 months. I thought we would be closing to going by now but crazy things happen with adoption paper work. It could all be done and I have no idea. It could take 2 more months. But, surely, we're almost done, right?

However, as some of you know, I have been taking this time to complete some things that have been nagging me for awhile. Today our base boards are finally being completed after 2 1/2 years of living here without them. I patched the wall where I used to have a floating shelf.

Next week, I hope to paint the base boards, and do some tile work.

Today I received some basic information on the woman I am sponsoring from Women to Women. She is 28, has 2 living children and lives in Rwanda. I was hoping to get some more information on her, but I guess we need to build our relationship first :).

I have been having these crazy dreams this week. Last night I dreamt that we were meeting Ike and he was so cute and then he turned into this 7 year old crazy child with red hair. I hope thats not a premonition of how much longer its going to take. :)

Well at least you're getting some of that "to-do list" done! But really, come on phone! That phone should ring any day now!!!!!

I hope that your call will come soon. I know how you feel: each phone call could be "the one". I am so glad that you are not stuck in the group of people that will have to wait until 2010: what a heartbreaker! The quilt is beautiful!

red hair huh!? will they call your cell or the house line? i'm almost positive you'll be in SK for C's bday, which would be the best present ever for C. but hopefully sooner.
