Hello: A Quick Update to get Back on Track

Hello all. I'm not sure why I haven't been blogging lately. Possibly it is because I haven't been taking that many pictures due to Ike's new walking habit. He randomly stepped up his walking one of the 'ice' days. However, Ike doesn't like to walk-he prefers to run. This is very troublesome because his skill level is not quite there yet. He really needs a helmet or we need to get a different, more baby proof, house. It has been very difficult for me to take any pictures because I am constantly walking around the house making a halo around Ike.

We took him skiing a very weeks ago with some of our friends. Ike, of course, did not ski but went to a day care facility. He had a little trouble with the altitude and then caught a little cold.

Our friends found this great house to rent. It was beautiful and right in the town of Breckenridge. There were two other babies there, Ike's friend Q who is Ike's age and then a five month old. It was crazy with two sets of stairs and babies everywhere. :)

Ike is starting to do well with school and started a Kindermusik class with some of his friends.

Anyway, Ike is doing well. I am kinda sick again with the crazy super baby germs. I am so tired of
being sick. I have been sick 3 times in 3 months. I go years without getting sick at all. I haven't been on antibiotics in over ten years, but now I am a sickly person. That plus the crappy northern like weather we have been having has stopped me from any type of out door activity. I think a lot of Oklahoma City is mildly depressed with all this sleet, ice and snow. I miss my 50 degrees all winter. Now they are saying we are going to get another winter storm tomorrow or tonight. What?? This is ridiculous! The first snow over Christmas was super cool. It never snows here. But now I just want to curl up a cry. Not to mention that school has been out a million days lately. Ike is supposed to go to school 3 days a week and he only went 6 times in January! Two of the days we were skiing, but other than that they were snow days. This makes it very hard for me to work or get anything done. This last week his school was canceled and I was trying to work. Every time I got on the phone with a client Ike would start running around screaming, ripping the paper out of the printer or try and preform some sort of acrobatic maneuver. Then the dogs would start barking and chase after him. I am feeling very professional... Not that I can blame any of them. The dogs normally get a family 2 mile walk everyday, but it has been so cold and gross out we have been cutting it short if we even take them. Plus with the wind it is hard to take Ike with us, which means one of us has to stay here with Ike. The dogs are going stir crazy and even Ike looked at me the other day and said "go". I told him we couldn't go any where because the roads were iced over and he said "GO".

We will all be very happy when warmer weather comes and we can go outside. I would really like to run without stepping in slush or coughing uncontrollably. We are very spoiled in OKC with mild winters. I am reminded of this in this winter. YUCK!
